which is the original and world-renowned Statue of;
the GREEK SLAVE, by Hiram Powers, costing 1
over five thousand dollars ! together with the beau- |
tiful statues of Venus, Bacchante, Hebe, Fiora.and •
the Dancing Girl; and fifteen statuettes in Bronze, j
imported from Paris; also, a large collection of Oil i
Paintings, comprising some of the best productions- j
of celebrated American and Foreign Artists.
PLAN FOR TIIE CUHRKXT VEAR.
The payment of three dollars constitutes any one
a member of this Associaiion, and entitles him to ;
the Knickerbocker Magazine for one year, and also |
a ticket in the distribution of the Statuary and the
Paintings which are to be allotted to members in
January.
Persons taking five memberships are entitled to i
five of the Magazines one year and to six tickets in
the distribution.
Persons, on becoming members, can have their
Magazine commence with any month they choose,
and rely on its being mailed to them promptly on
the first of every month, direct from New York.
The net proceeds derived from the sale of mem- j
berships are devoted to the purchase of works of !
art for the ensuing year.
Books open to receive names at the Eastern of- '
fice.or Western office, Sandusky.
The Gallery of Art is located at Sandusky, (the ■
Western office of the Association) where superb
granite buildings have been erected for it, and in !
whose splendid saloons the splendid collection of i
Statuary and Painting is exhibited.

Persons remitting funds for membership, should
mark letters ' registered,' and state the month with
which they wish their magazines to commence, and
also tasir post office address in full, on the receipt of
which, a certificate of membership, together with
the magazine desired, will be forwarded to any part
of the country.

observe that by joining this Association, they receive
the Magazine and the Free Ticket in the Annual dis
tribution all at the same price they now pay for the
Magazine alone.

IN pursuance of an order from the Orphan's Court
of Bradford County, there will be exposed to

of Bradford, have issued their precept bearing date
the 20ih day of September, 1851, to me directed,for
holding a Court of Oyer and Terminer. General
Quarter Sessions of the Peace, Common Pleas and
Orphan's Court, at Towanda, for the County of
Bradford on the first Monday, the 4ili day of Decern,
ber next, to continue three weeks.
Notice is therefore hereby given, to the Coroners
and Justice* of the Peace and Constables of the
county of Bradford, that they be thru and there in
their proper person, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon
of said day, with their records, inquisitions, and
other remembrances, to do thoi-e things which to
their office appertains to be done; and those who
are bound by recognizance or otherwise to prosecute
against the prisoners who are or maybe in the jail
of sad county, or who shall be hound to appear at
the said court, are to be then and there to prosecute
against them as shaii be just. Jurors ore request*
ed to be punctual in their attendaacc, agreeably to
their notice.
