eyes of Abe people, and keep out of
view whig sentiments-; they do not
like to have their principles stand in
bold relief before them. The measures•
advocated by the federalists have been
so often' put down by die people ; that
even the name has become odious, and ,
a change was necessary to ensure any
chance of success; hence the name: of
whig has lieen adopted ;—have they

our government ; are they willing to
