long, took a sudden turn. The attorney for
the State entered a nolle prosequi In 21 of
the 29 indictments. But Ave indictments
are lelt and trial has begun on these.

died here yesterday from the result of a
blow on the head with a stone received No
vember 17 last, the day or the big Demo
cratic blowout there. Robinson wasaRe

Ritchie, a Democrat, hurrahed for Cleve
land. Robinson said something to Ritchie
whereupon the latter hit him with a stoue.
Ritchie has fled.
Usiostowk Charles Flowers is In Jail
having been captured last night at Fair
chance alter an exciting chase. He stole
some money from Clom Craft and a warrant
was sworn ont for him. Deputy Matthew
Allen started out after Flowers, whom he
met in the east end of town. Flowers began
filing and ran. Allen started in pursuit and
returned the file, but Flowers escaped.
Both men were slightly wounded.

the Ohio Kiver Railioad was coming up
from Huntington loaded nith toughs that
had attended the hanging of Murderer
Hainson a terrible fight occurred. Ten of
the toaghs vt ere drunk and took the train.
The conductor and brakemen, finding the
ganir too manv for them, tho train was
stopped and the entire force. Engineer Can-,
Fireman Scroggins, Brakeman Beckwitb,
Uagzageraaster Ingalls, led by Conductor

oads were two to one against the trainmen,
but thev wnued in and lor 20 minutes a des
perate fight ensued. The trainmen flnaHv
won. Eight of the toughs were beaten off

Conductor Smith had Ills arm badly bruised
and was badly cut about the eye The fire
man was also terribly beaten. One of the

nearly killed. The passengers were fright
