Anneal Meeting of the Corporat rs and Contributors. GOOD WOKE DOXE BT TRAINED MJRSES The annual meeting of the corporators and contributors of the Homeopathic Hos pital was held yesterday afternoon in the chapel of that institution. The meeting; was presided over by President "William Metcalfe and was opened with prayer by Bev. Dr. Ier. The report of the Executive Committee was read by Mr. A. H. Child?. The only change during the year was the building of the eye and ear infirmary annex which was a gift from Mrs. "William Thaw. The rec ords showed that there was a falling off in the number of patients treated as compared with the previous year. During the year there were 1,414 patients admitted to the hospital, of which 1,134 were charity and 280 pay patients. The average cost of the maintenance of each patient per day was a little over ?1 09. There were 48 births and 97 deaths in the hospital during the year. The expenditures were 538,441 74, and" the receipts $47,949. The total in debtedness is now 544,368 51. Work or the Training School. Mr. Childs highly commended the work of the training school. A letter was read from Dr. McClelland who is at present in Europe purchasing apparatus and instru ments for the new eye and ear annex. Dr. McClelland stated that ho had visited nearly all the important hospital" of Europe and that tho hospitals of the United States com pare favorably with any on that side of the ocean; this wa particularly true of tho Homeonathin ITnsnitaL Miss Wright, Superintendent of the Train Ins 'School for Nurses, read her report of the work or that branch. During the year there were 373 calls for trained nurses, but the de mand was larger than the supply. Thoie were 175 applicants lor admission to tho school, and of 24 examined 11 passed and 13 failed. The receipts from private nurses during tho year amounted to $2,519 44. Dr. L. H. Willard reported for the deans of the faculty and Dr. Martin read the report of the medical hoard. Fair Woman's Charity. Sirs. George L. McCoy read the report of the Ladles' Association. This repoi t was an outline of the help given by the ladies in the general ward or the hospital and acknowledging the Rifts of Mrs. J. J. Van dergrirt, Mrs. J. M. Gusky, the Fruit and Flow er Mission and others. The Ti easurer's report of the Ladles' Association showed that there w as collected $3,730, and $2.3S0 was expended. The following Board of Trustees was elected unanimously: Hon. J. H. Bailey, L. H. AVillard, M. D., George S. Griscom, Captain James Boyd. Frank Semple, Colonpl William A. Herron, Hon. George H.
