Brother Charles Whlston addressed an
open meeting given by VTilkinsburg Lodea
Friday evening A large number of friends
were entertained by a well arranzed pro
gramme, after which the ladies served an
excellent lunch.
Deputy Supreme President John L. Gatise
has beat his own record, having during De
cember organized a lodge of Solon at Union
town, Pa., withcharter list of ?6 members,
end since increased the roll to 103 members.
A grand entertainment was recently held in
the Opera House at that place.

and conferred the knights' rank on tares
candidates.

Lodge to make the necessary arrangements.

The public installation of the officers of
Hope Lodge No. 2M, Knights of Pythias,
Tuesday evening, January 12, at Carnegie
Hall, Allegheny Cit was a grand success.
The lirge nail was crowded. The following

John Fielding, who was Installed as
Masterof Exchequer, was first installed In

thereby making it a ery good one.

ol Bellevuo Legion No. 31, of Allegheny, Fri
day evening.
The officers of Pittsburg Legion No. 1 were
'installed Monday evening last, by the Grand

Banner Legion No. 2. of Youmrstown. O.. Is
all right. The late reception netted a hand

winding up with a dance and oyster supper
at a country homestead, which was a very
enjoyable affair.
Grand Commander Todd reports the en
tire order in this State and Ohio in a flourish
ing condition. New legions are springing up
in every direction and the next to be In
itiated wilt be No. 4 of Allegheny, which
is starting out with 37 charter members, and
all fully uniformed and equipped. The
officers elected by this lecion are all promi
nent young men on the Northsido, and will
no doubt strengthen their ranks in a short
time.
Protected Borne Circle.
Bloomfleld Circle No. 61 meets Friday
evening, January 22, and its officers will ba
installed.
Loyal 11$ has 14 candidates for its next
meeting. Deputy Albert E. Wells is hustling
in Lawrcncevillo.
Pittsburg 43 has six candidates for Its
meeting Monday evening. J. B. John9on Is
the President lor this term.
Organizer Bailey installed the officers of
Banner No. 35, of Sharpsburg, Thursday even
ing and the boom Is on there.
Triumph 101 initiated U members at its
last meeting nnd its officers were installed.
C M. Hess is the new President.
Southside Circle 112 meets Monday even
ing, at Guild Hall. Six candidates will bo
initiated and the officers will be installed.
J. B. Johnson and W. S. Bailey paid a
visit to Bntler Circle, at Butler, Monday
evening, installed their officers and gave
two good addresses.
East Liberty Circle No. 59 held an open
meeting Friday evening in Masonic Hall. A
fine programme was rendered to 000 people
Organizer Biiley spoke on the order.
, W. S. Bailey organized a German Circle in
Allegheny Saturday evening, with thirty
chatter members. The work of this circle
will be done entirelyln German. The circle
will be known as Humboldt 116.
Peerless No. 75 will have a special meeting
Tuesday evening at Grand View Hall. H. B.
Molmevill, the new President, will build up
this circle in good shape, and 110 certificates
were issued for the month of January.

have a great treat in store for the fraternity

Mechanics' Lodge No. 9 confored the sec
ond degree Satuiday night. They had a
very large turnout, and did the work well.
Angerana Lodge conferred the initiatory
and first degrees last Wednesday nieht.
There was a very large turnout of memhsrs
and visitors.
Next Saturday night a Lirge relegation
will visit Duquesne Lodge No. SI to witness
the degree staff confer the second degree on
two candidates. All are invited.
E, A. Lamberton Encamnment will meet
Tuesday night to confer the Golden Rule
degree. This encampment Is doing Its work
In a masterly way and Is creating quite a
sensation among the fraternity.
Pittsburg Lodge No. 336 conferred the sec
ond degree last Friday night The team
was in good shape and worked well to
gether. Owing to a leak in the roof the fine
phirapanalia came near being spoiled. On
next Friday night the lodge will confer the
third degree.
Next Tuesday night Pittsburg Encamp
ment No. 2 will meet at 99 Fifth avenue,
when tho Golden Rule and Royal Purple
degrees will be conferred on three candi
dates. A very expensive paraphernalia has
been purchased, nnd with the organization
of the degree staff under its able leaders
No. 2 will stand second to none in the State,

Pittsburg Council 146 enters on its new
year fully officered and in splendid condi
tion. Penn Council 2SS his two candidates under
way. Its new paraphernalia is worth going

consolidation, increasing its membership
considerably thereby.
