"V. J. Brennan j esterday filed the long
promised suit against members of theBuild
rrs' Kehangc for damages for alleged con
spiracy. The suit is brought by Thomas
Buchanan against, John, Henry, Robert
and "William Kerr, Robert Twyford, II. G.
Squires, If. R. Barnes A. A. AVussel, S.
Francis G. S. Fulliner, J. F. Brugge
man, S. A. Steel.T. J. Hamilton and Henry
Barley, members of the Builders' Exchange,
for $r,000 damages.
Buchanan is a contracting bricklayer.
He alleges that in May the defendants con
spired together and refused to admit him to
membership in the Exchange, and to iujnre
him they refused to sell him brick and
dressed lumber.
In consequence lie was compelled to throw
np a contract he had.
