The animal is well formed, exeept that it has one leg instead of two to support the front part of the body. Mr. fehemck says the little fellow can run and Jump and is as m-ky as other voung horses. The freak wilf bo exhibited on the Home wood track during the July races, and it will probably go around on the grantLcircuit. POPULAR Firework Dealers Iteport a Great De mand for Displays of All Kinds for the Fourth Everything From Firecrackers to Pieces Costing Thousands. Tho Fourth of July promises to be cele brated this year, in Pittsburg and vicinity, with greater enthusiasm than over. That is as far as tho patriotio sentiment's of tho peo ple will find reflection in tho vivid ligb.t of tho fireworks. According to the testimony of dealers, the demand for pyrotccnlcal dis plays and decorations exceed any former year. The orders ai e now reaching the deal era and some of them say they cannot get goods from the makers fast enough. The permission given by the Department of Pub lic Safety for tho unrestrained indulgence in crackers and such has a great deal to do with this increased demand. Several dealers wero talked with yesterday on the prospects for tho Fourth. James Grove, the Fifth avenue dealer, said he was selling much more than last year. General preparations were being made to celeorate tne day. t'nvate people were sending in orders for displays ranging In cost from $300 to $500. Tho orders were now coming in rapidly and he expected to dis pose ot a much larger Quantity of fireworks than during any previons year. Mr. Xecley, of Jleisby & Xeeley, thought there was less demand for the more expen sive displays but greater inquiry for the cheaper varieties. He thought there would be fewer private displays this j ear, Mr. lleyl, of He 1 & Jones of Wood street, said they wero selling more than double tho quantity sold last year. They had orders for fifteen privato displays ranging in cost from $200 to 300. There wero no novelties this year. This firm has an extensive stock. The tichcnlev park display has been entrusted to them. Mr. Jones has charge of the South side display, near tho Monastery. This will cost $1,000. J. G. Laner of Liberty street said the day was becoming more popular every year. He was selling his share and couldn't get the goods from the makers fast enough. In each of the stores were placards prohib iting smoking because of the presence of tho fireworks. EEECTED ON SHOET NOTICE. The Schenley Park Bridge 1VII1 Bo Com pleted by the Fourth of July. Notwithstanding numerous statements to the contrary the bridge at Schenley Park, connecting Forbes street with the main, park, will be fully completed and ready for vehicles and foot passengers by next Fri day. The floor on one end was laid yester day and the workmen are now putting up on Iron railing to separate the wagon and foot ways. "The bridge will be ready and in good shape for tho 150,000 visitors to Schenley Park on tho Fourth of July," said Chief Bige low. "It is a good strong bridge and will answer for the jiark entrance for many years." lleyl & Jones havo received three carloads of fireworks for the celebration, which they are having considerable difficulty in storing. Owners ot buildings are afraid to accept tbo goods in storage and the firm Is afraid to al low them to remain in cars until the celebra tion on account of their liability to explode. The place of storage will be kept secret. City officials are hard at work getting out the pay rolls for June, in order that the em ploy es of tho various departments can le ceivo their money in time for the Fourth of July. Mr. Clark, to tho Public I wish to say to my friends and the public, that I retard Chamberlain's Colic. Cholera and Diarrhoea Kemedy as the best prepara tion in use lor colic and diarrhoea. It is the finest selling medicine I ever handled, because it always gives satisfaction. O. H. Clark, "WSu Orange ville, Tex.
