THOUSANDS STILL CROWD TROT BILL Notwithstanding the various reports that Jlonday evening wns the last occasion upon w hlch Father Molltnger w ould pub licly receive the Mount Troy pilgrims untu after his return from his vacation, there was scarcely any perceptible diminution in the crowds of sick and innrm who thronged the churchyard yesterday morning. Frqni an earlj hourthepatientsbegan toarrivoinones and tw os and long before 7 o'clock mass the space surrounding the chnrch was closely packed with anxious worshipers. AVhen the doors were thrown open tho building was crammed from one end to the other inside a v cry few minutes, and ev en then thcie were hundreds outside w ho wcro unable to gain admission. These followed the sorvico as best they could in the open air. This scene was duplicated at the S o'clock mass, a con siderable number of disappointed devotees beipg obliged to content themselves with tho best vantage ground they could obtain in street artd churchyard. At tho close of tho 8 o'clock service tho multitude, who had by that time been largely augmented by fresh contingents, sat themselves down to await the Father's pleasure. At least those who were so fortunate as to secure seats did so. Tho great majority were obliged to stand around in more or less uncomfortable and pictures quo attitudes until the famous healer event ually made his appearance about 10 30. The scenes of Monday were then again re enacted. Father Mollinger took up his posi tion in tho office and proceeded to bless pilgrim after pilgrim as the motley crowd pasted through. A noticeable feature of the morning was the great number of Southern ers who w ere present. Xumbers of people have traveled from Georgia, Xorth and Sonth Carolina, Louisiana, and even .from far distant Florida. Having recclv ed the Father's blessing they retired quite con tented, most of them returning to the sunny South by the afternoon trains. During the morning, although the Father merely pronounced his blessing and did not supply either medicine or prescriptions, some remarkable cures were reported. Mainio Anderson Casts Crutches Aside. M.Anio Anderson, of Steubenville, O., a bright little girl of some Hj ears, made her second visit to Father Mollinger yesterday morning. She had visited him last year for tho fiist time, and although, her crutches were not completely cast asidoon that oc casion, she had expressed herself as much benefited. Since that time she had had an attack of rhcum.itism, w Inch almost nullified any good she had obtained from the Father, and w hen she went in to recejv c the blessing j esterday she w as not by any means a likely case for successful treatment. Man elous to relate, after receiving the priestly benedic tion she left her crutches in the church and walked away unassisted. Several of the residents on the hill v ouch for tho accuracy of this storv. Mrs. AVhite, of Auburn, X. T., arrived at Mount Tioy last week with her hands sw ollen to an enormous size by rheumatic pains. She left j esterday afternoon almost perfectlv cured. It. L. ISisgood, of Youngstown, O , w ho had been treated by the Mount Tioy healer on Saturday for bllndnc-s, has had his eje sight restored and is loud in praise of Father Mollinger's miraculous gift. AA h it is considered to bo the most w onder ful ease ot the day was tint of Mrs. Frauen heim, w ife of the w ell know n brew er of Pit ts burg. She was driven up to the hill jester day morning in a carriage, and had to be carried into the church on an invalid's chair. She was guttering from paralj sis and was unable to movo without assistance. Upon being taken in to Father Mollinger that gentleman requested that the building be cleared, and when the necessary clearance hid been effected devoted himself to tho cure of the patient. Alter a short time spent m praj er She Bose Tip and "Walked. Mrs. Fraucnheim received the blessing of the Father and vv as ordered by him to arise and walk. This she finally did after one or two unsuccessful attempts, mid with slight aid from the Father -he walked slowly to tho door of her carriage. At this point tho ten-lon upon hci 'nerves began to tell and she swaj ed slightly from side to side. She would hav o fallen had -ho not been assisted by friend-. In the cairiage she somewhat reg-iined her new -found powernndappeared to lie quite another person from the helpless woman who was earned into the building. Among the other cases of miraculous euro may be mentioned that of a j oung colored girl who entered the church on two crutche- nd w as able to return home on one only. A v oung man also lelt his crutches lo'iind and walked away with the aid of some lriends. These are hut a few of the numberless eases w Inch Troy Hill residents claim to have been performed yesterday morning. Intense indignation is manifested by resi dents on the Hill at the statement that 1 ather Mollinger has mide a good thing out of the pilginus who thronged to the Cliuich of the Holy Name during the past few dajs. Thtj -deny that either the Father or any of the attendtnts ever a-ked any of thep iticnts to contribute to the offci torj , and laugh at the story of the enormous sums paid into tho treasurj by tho patients. In scarcely any case, thev saj, do the patients give more than a dollar at a time. Jlanj give 50 cents, more a quarter, and somu hav o cv en given nothing more th in a dime. The poor, ns a rule, give nothing. In theafternqon tho Father denied him self to all comers and refused to see any patients. Most of the latter had, hoivev ei, been blessed that morning and had returned home. A few still remained hoping against hope and will tryagaiu to-morrow. Father Mollinger last evening said ho would again bless tho people to-daj . lie in tends to le.iv e tho city after to-day and tho date of his return is uncertain. The rever end gentleman seemed completely broken up and bore evident traces of tho fatigue which he has endured during the past week. HIS EUCCESS DOUBTFUL.
