JUDGE EWfMG TELLS The Braddock Wire Mill Strikers lo Be Very Careful. PEEHAKEXT INJUNCTION GRAKTED Forbidding Any Interference Whatever With the Workmen. IESTEEDAI IX THE CODKTI COURTS Judge Ewing yesterday issued an injunc tion against the strikers at the Braddock; Wire Mill, to prevent their interference with the workmen who have taken their placet. The hearing va interesting and at timet lively, and ihe Judge talked very plaiulv to the men before him. The men named in the application for the injunction were Chris Goodwin, John Emery, Samuel Hoffman, John Good, P. M. Mahon, O. D. Btacy, Grant Cochran, George Scott. John Trainor. T. Hays, W. Stemvtay, D. McLaugh liu anil '.Squire John Glunt. A number of the workmen were examined and testified to assaults made on them by the striken and the interference they were sub jected to while on the ay lo and from their or' While the witnesses were being ex amined a young man named W. X. Strouthern took a hand in and cross-examined them. Judge Ewing fluaily directed btrouthern to be worn. 'Why. I'm not in it," said Strouthern. "Ves, foa are in it." replied Judge Ewing. Strouthern was worn and placed on the stand. It was soon developed that lie was a Inend of tbe strikers and anything but partial to tiie wrku. Judge Ewing gave him a tevere lecture and told him to be careful or he would get into trouble. He then placed him tinder a bond of i50'i to keep away from the Works and not mnle.t the men. 'bquire Glunt was another who was shown to bo liiendly to tbe strikers. It was stated that be would issue warrants against the workmen lo-their arrest for carrying concealed weapons. Judge Euinc delivered another lecture for the benefit of 'Sauire Glunt and the officers in the vicinity of the wcrfcs. On Jul 18, 1S90. the boy was crossing Penn avenue, between Sixteenth and Seventeenth streets, when he was struck by car No 231. He was thrown about 10 feet, and killed. It is claimed that the gnpman saw the child in plenty of time to stop the car, but failed to do so. Christian G. Kull also entered suit against the Citizens' Traction Company yesterday for 5,000 damages.
