The Runaway Wife Wednesday at 450
o'clock, Joseph had a wife and five
children; to-day he is minus the
unman and his the children. Mrs.
Pmllip Allison, who lives across the street,
has ihree children, but she is without a hus
band: at least he is missing. It is
charted by Joseph Chain and Mrs. Allison

eloped. Mr. Cham is almost distracted
over the action of his wife, and he thinks
she is lusane. Mrs. Allison is determined
to ,iit the matter, and oner to pay hall the

that place before the children returned from
school. Cham traced them to Beaver Falls,

took the next train for the city, bat
thus far has been unable to locate them.
Mr. Barr, the father of Mrs. Josph Chain,
al-o went to Beaver Fulls to look lor his
daughter, but when she couldn't be found
he returned home. Y H. Chain is here in
the interest o Ins cousin, and he declares
he will ransack the town before he wiHgive
up. He says Joseph Chain will sue for a
divorce at once.

William Bcier, of Allegheny, Drops One
of a Trio of Bobbers.
An Allegheny chicken thief carried a
bullet awav with him from the coop of
William Bessier, on McDonald street, Elev
enth ward. That gentleman has his coop
fo arranged that it a board is moed it rings
a bell in his nnuse.
At 3.30 yesterday morning the bell rang
and Mr. Bessier ran out with a revolver. At
his approach three men fed. He fired three
shots and one of the men fell. He was
picked up by his companions and carried
away.
In the darkness the men were soon lost
sight of, but a trail of blood down over the
hill showed that one of the men had been
wounded.
