Knmerons Other Tictima Stand Before the Bar of Justice. .ALLEGHENY MATOE AND POLICE SUED Alexander Killian yesterday received the death sentence for the murder of Mrs. Itudert, at Tarcntum. He still maintains his innocence and in answer to the Judge's "question, Killian said that all he had to say was that he had not been on that side of the river from the Saturday before until he was arrested, and he was entirely inno cent Judge Magee admonished Killian to obtain the forgiveness of God for his sins, and then imposed the death sentence. Killian was then led back to jail. His counsel vill probably take an appeal to the Supreme Court. Samuel Walker, who was convicted of voluntary manslaughter for the shooting of "William" Stewart at Braddock, was sen tenced to five J oars and four months in the penitentiary. J. I. John T. Hainds IVants Damages ITrom Slay or IVyman and the Police. John L. Halnds yesterday entered suit for damages against J. G. Wyman, Mayo.- of Alle gheny, and Leo Einstein, J. Peterson, J. Jenk lnson and Albert Dietrick, of the police ae partment. Halnds stated that on Septembers be called the attention of Officer Jenkinson to Charles Mej ers. who was acting in an unbe coming manner in front of his house on Manhattan street. Meyers was arrested and taken to the lockup, and at the request 'of tbe omcer. Hainds went along in tbe patrol wagon to make an information. When he reached the locknp he was requested to put up a forfeit of f 10 for nis appearance in the morning against Meyers. Ho did not have the monev with him, but said ho was a property holder That was not sufficient and ball was also ofTercd and refused. The officers then locked him up under an order ot the Mayor that all persons making complaints shall'be (compelled to leave a forfeit of S10 for their ap pearance at the hearing or be locked up. The next day Hainds was discharged, and Meyer was fined SoO and cost. Hainds asserts his arrest was illegal, and he asks damages. OBJECT TO THE WASTE. A Gas Company 'Wants a Turnpike Com pany to Use Regulators. Tbe Manufacturers' Natural Gas Company yesterday bled a bill in equity against the Bir mingham and Brow nsville Macadamized Road Company. It was stated that in October. 1E&5. tbe road company granted the gas company tbe right to lay its pipe line on the turnpike of the company, the gas company agreeing to furnish frpe cis lor 40 lamps. Too lamps were erected and gas b'irneil in them up to date. There were no burners or regulators on them and there was a great waste of gas. The gas com rany linally placed burners and regulators on tbe'lamisjbut tb road company took them off and put on other burners without regula tors. There was still four times as much tras n-ed as was necessary, but the defendants "re fused to regulate the pressure. It is now asked that the turnpike company he restricted from using the cas"with the pres ent burners or without regulators: also to pre vent tl.em from letting the gas buru in daylight, as they have been doing.
