tion November 4. One of these amendments
increases the number of Supreme Court
Judges from three lo seven, and the other
lengthens the biennial session of the Legis
lature to 90 days, and provides for the pay
and mileage ot members.
Kentucky elected Clerk of the Court of
Appeals and delegates to a convention to
revue tbe Constitution of the State August
4; will elect 11 Congressmen November 4.
Louisiana will elect six Congressmen No
vember 4.
Maine elected Governor, Legislature and
four Congressmen beptember 8.
Maryland will elect six Congressmen No
vember 4.
Massachusetts will elect State officers,
Legislature and 12 Congressmen Novem
ber 4.
Michigan will elect State officers, Legis

stitution November 4. These amendments
relate to prohibition and high license, pro
vide (or five Supreme Judges, and increase
the Judges' salaries.
Nevada will elect State officers, Legisla
ture, and one Congressman November 4.
New Hampshire will elect Governor,
Legislature, and two Congressmen Novem
ber 4.
New Jersey will vote upon two proposed
tmendmeits to the State Constitution Sep
tember 30. One of these amendments can
cels the prohibition against special legisla
tion regulating the internal affairs of towns
and counties, and the other eliminates tbe
clause in reference to the appointment of
Judges of the Court of Cpmmon Fleas. Will
elect Legislature and seven Congressmen
November 4.
New York will elect Judge of the Court of
Appeals, two Judges of the Supreme Court,
Assembly and S4 Congressmen November 4.
North Carolina will elect Chief and
Associate Judge of the Supreme Court,
Legislature and cine Congressmen Novem
ber 4.
North Dakota will elect State officers,

The undersigned. Viewers of Btreet Improve
ments In the city of Pittsburg, appointed by
the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny
county and authorized by an ordinance passed
on the day of , A. D. 1890. a copy of
which is hereto attached, to make an assess
ment of the cost and expense of constructing a
Subllc sewer on Susquehanna street, from
fovelty street to Murtland avenue, in said city
upon the property benefited thereby, under the
provisions of and in accordance with an act of
Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsyl
vania, entitled, "An act relating to streets ana
sewers in cities ot the second class," approved
the 18th day of May, A. D. 1SS9, respectfully re
port: That, having been first duly sworn and quali
fied according to law. they proceeded in the
manner and according to tbe directions of said
act to discharge the duties of their appoint
ments; that, having viewed the premises,
they made an assessment of said cost and ex
pense upon the property benefited, and caused
a plot and statement to be made, as required
by said act, and having given to the owner of
each lot ten days1 notice of the time and place
ot meeting, they met on the 24th day of Octo
ber, A. D. 1890, at the office of tbe Board of
Viewers, in the city of Pittsburg, heard all
complaints and evidence offered, and having
made all modifications and corrections which
they deem proper, assessed the cost and ex
pense of constructing said sewer upon tbe fol
lowing property, upon each for the amount set

on the 9th day of September, A. D. 1SS9, a copy
of which Is hereto attached, to make an assess
ment of the cost and expense of constructing a
public sewer on Bayard street, from Bidwell
street to Neville street, in said city, upon the

ions of and in accordance with an act of As
sembly of the Commonwealth ot Pennsylvania,

in cities of the second class," approved tbe 16th
day of May, A. D. 1839, respectfully report.

The undersigned. Viewers of Street Improve
ments in the citj of Pittsbuig, appointed by
the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny
county and authorized by an ordinance passed
on the 25th day of November, A. D. 18S9. a copy
of which is hereto attached, to make an assess
ment of tbe cost and expense of constructing a
public sewer on Linden avenue, from a point
719 fett cast of Shady avenue to Fdgerton ave
nue, in said city, upon the property benefited

avenue to Monongahela river in said city, upon

provisions or and in accordance with an act of
Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsyl
vania, entitled, "An act relating to tbe streets
and sewers in cities of the second class." ap
proved tne 16th day of May, A. D. 1889, respect
fully report:
That, having been first duly sworn and quali
fied according to law, tbey proceeded in tbe
manner ana according to the directions of said
act, to discharge tbe duties of their appoint
ments; tbat having viewed the premises tbey
made an assessment of said cost and expense
upon the property benefited, and caused a plot
and statement to be made, as required by said
act, and having given the owner of each lot ten
days' notice of the time and place of meetinz,
they met on the 25th day of October. A. D. 1890,
at tbe office of the Board of Viewers, in tbe
city of Pittsburg, heard all complaints and evi
dence offered, and having made all modifica
tions and corrections wblcn tbey deem proper,
assessed tho cost and exp;aseof constructing
said sewer upon the following property, upon
each for tbe amount set opposite the name ot
the owner thereof, viz.:

The undersigned. Viewers of Street Improve
ments in tbe city of Pittsburg, appointed by
the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny
County, and authorized by au ordinance passed
on .he day of . A. D. 1890, a cony
of which is hereto attached, to make an assess
ment of the cost and expense of grading, paving
and curbing of Railroad street, from Twenty
first street to Twenty-fourth street, in said city,
upon tbe property benefited thereby under the
provisions of and in accordance with an
act of Assembly or tbe Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania, entitled, "An act authoriz
ing and directing Councils of cities of the
second class to provide for the improvement of
streets, lanes, alleys and public highways
sewers and sidewalks,requlring plans of streets,
providing for the appointment of a Board of
Viewers of Street Improvements, prescribing
their duties, granting appeals to Council) and
court, providing for the assessment and collec
tion ot damages and bennfits, authorizing the
use of private property and providing for filing
liens and regulating proceedings thereon, and
prohibiting the use of public streets, without
authority of Councils," approved the 14th day of
June. A, D. 1837, respectfully report:
