Whereas. It appears by tbe petition and affi
davit on file in tbe office of the Clerk of Coun
cils that one-third in interest of tbe owners of
property fronting and abutting upon the said
street have petitioned the Councils of said city
to enact an ordinance for the grading, paving
and curbing of the same: therefore
Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted Dy tbe
city ot Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of tbe same. That the
Chief of tbe Department of Pnblio Works be
