TEUTOKS CARRY OFF THE LAURELS A Handsome Floral Exhibition on the Fro gramme for To-Day. DISPLAYS FOE TCEDDIKGS A FEATDEE A day long to be remembered in Exposi tion annals is Thursday, October 3. "When the grand round up is made and an ac counting is rendered unto those that de mand it, yesterday will in all probability tower far above the others as the lied Let ter, the banner day of the Pittsburg Expo sition. This, of course, is only trne up to date, as the attendance is rolling up so rapidly even the enormous crowds of yester day may be topped. If they are, however, the figures must run up into the 30.000, or they will not be prominent on the list. Though not esentlally a show-going peo ple, the Germans of this city and surround ing country found their indifference scat tered tothewindsbefore a rush of fond mem ories awakened by the announcement that German music, and only the highest Ger man music, would be "rendered in their honor on that day. The numbers ot excursionists were just double those of anv preceding day, and a survey of the crowd at the moment the first i.otes issued lrom the iamous Blum and Ce cilia maennerchor was well worth making. To-day at 2 o'clock the handsome flower show will be opened in floral hall. The money to be expended is much greater than the Ian exhibition given, and the designs and cut flowers will be a revelation to those who love trie sweetest of nature's offerings. Specialties will be made of wedding de signs, and beautiful bridal ideas in inter woven floral bets will start a flutter in young hearts that can onlv be appeased by some such a pretty affair all for herself and someone. The flower show will last until Sauirdav eight, and as to-dav is fashionable dat. no 'doubt the week will wind up with a a flourish. The musical programme for the Great West ern to-daj is as follows: TAKT I Z O'CLOCK. 1. March, "Kaiser Wilbelm" Meyer 2. Medley overture, "Pete" Braham 3. Selection, "II Trovatore" Verdi 4. oavotte, "Des Erste Herzklopen".EiIenberg 5. Polka, 'Carrier Pigeon" Sahan FAET 24 O'CLOCK. L Overture, "Hungarian Lustspiel" Keller-Bola 2.
