ILL WITH A STEANGE DISEASE. Thirty Persons Stricken Down In a Lebanon County Villaee. UEwarANSTOWx, August 16. There is an epidemic prevalent in this village which is puzzling the physicians. A number ot persons are in a very serious condition, the symptoms being violent vomiting, high fever and dysentery. Thirty persons are confined to their beds, and at one time 45 were ill. The population of this place is only about 350, and there is consequently considerable alarm. One death has 00 curred Daniel Robinson, a single man. aged 22, who died after a few days' painful illness. Among those afflicted was Dr. Amos B, Hagenman, the village physician, bnt he has recovered sufficiently to attend to his patients. In some families as many as four persons are down with the disease. The cause of the epidemic is unaccountable. The village has excellent drainage and a good water supply. There is a public well, much used, and there was a suspicion that poison had been thrown in it, but persons who have not used the water of the well are among the afflicted. A T0WB0AT BDENED. Then paok away what is left, and when a year rolls around open the goods up again, and offer them to your customers.
