IT IS KORNBLUM'S.
LPittsburs Can Now Boast of Ono Fine
yf Optical wore at Least.
Kornblum, the well known optician, now
.occupies the entire building No. CO Fifth
avenue. A reporter visited his place ot
business yesterday, and fonnd his saleroom
elegantly fitted out with all the modern
improvements.
In the forward part of the store is a pri-
Tate parlor, handsomelv equipped, used
-, only for fitting glasses; in the rear is an
other apartment where the costly glass eyes
are kept in large safes, and -where Mr.
Kornblum skillfully duplicates ruined
optics.
On the third and top floor is the -workshop.
Mr. Kornblum insists on making
everything pertaining to his business him
self, something -which very few opticians
can do. The second floor is given up to
surveyors' instruments, photographic out
fits, etc
The storeroomjs full of the finest optical
poods, imported field, tourist and opera
glasses, made especially for Mr. Kornblum's
trade. Without question Mr. Kornblum
has one of the best optical establishments in
the country, -which, combined -with his great
skill as an optician, has given him and his
store a national reputation.
A Soap Centennial.
Since the centennial of Washington's in
auguration is to be celebrated in such regal
.style throughout the countrv, another event
cannot be overlooked, which all loval citi
zens should sanction and give thanks for
the invention and existence of Pears'
Soap. Jt is the purest, cleanest, most ele
gant and economical of all toilet articles,
therefore the best and most attractive of all
soaps. As a complexion specific it cannot
be equaled, and its other sterling qualities
render it invaluable to any one w ho -wishes
to be cleanly.
One hundred years has it been held in
highest esteem, and this year is the anniver
sary of Queen Charlotte's visit to Pears'
establishment, -where she purchased this
valued article for her complexion. She
prized Pears' soap above all others, and
''set the style" among her subjects, -who
' nsed it as -well as every other people
throughout the civilized world, therefore
conclusively proving that Pears' soap is
-without a peer.
