Section 1 Be It ordained and enacted by the
city ot Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and It is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of the same. That an
unnamed alley laid out in Philip Wineblddle's
plan of lots in the Nineteenth ward, Pittsburg,
recorded in the Recorder's office ot Allegheny
county in Plan Book, vol. 4, page 268, parallel
'with tbe Greensburg and Pittsburc Turnpike
road, now Penn avenue, and between Wlnebld
dle and Fayette streets on said plan, be and
the same is hereby vacated from Linden street
in said plan, now Conrad street, to the west
ern line of said plan, except so much thereof
as is included within the lines of Conrad, Eve
line, Fitch and Mathilda streets and Winebld
dle avenue, as laid out and located by the city
of Pittsburc and said Philip Wineblddle's
clan, so far as it relates to said unnamed alley,
be and the same is hereby declared null and
void.
Section 3 That any ordinance or part of or

Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by the
city of Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of tbe same. That
Mary Ann street, a street laid out in Philip
Wineblddle's plan of lots in tbe Nineteenth
ward of Pittsburg, recorded in the Recorder's
office of Allegheny county in Plan Book vol. 4,
page 26S.be and the same is hereby vacated
from Penn avenue (formerly the Greensburg
and Pittsburg Turnpike road), to William
street in said plan, except so mueh thereof as
is included within the lines of Dearborn and
.Kauphin streets and Gem, Albambra and Jor
dan alleys, as laid out and located by the city
of Pittsburg, and said Philip Winebiddle's
plan, so far as it relates to the said Mary Ann
street, be and the same is hereby declared null
and void.

Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by the
city of Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of the same. That tbe
center line of Fingal street be and tbe same
shall be located as follows, to wit: Beginning
at the north b-foot line of Rutledge street at a
distance of 469.92 feet westwardly from the
west Moot line of Republic street; thence de
flecting to the left 89 54' for a distance of
about 2.002.6 feet to Denny's property line, and
said street shall be a width of 40 feet or in ac
cordance with C and A. Scaler's plan of lots
recorded in Original Plan Boot, vol. 5. cage
271 and vol. 6, pages 134 and 135, in the office of
the Department of Public Works.
Section 2 That any ordinance or part of
ordinance conflicting with the provisions of
this ordinance be and the same Is hereby re
pealed so far as the sarAe affects this ordi

Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted bv the
city of Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of the same. That the
Chief of the Department of Public Works be,
and is hereby authorized and directed to
cause to be surveyed and opened within 60 days
from the date of tbe passage of this ordinance,
Manton alley, from Arlington avenue to Beltz
hoover avenue, at a width of 20 feet, in accord
ance with a plan on file in the Department of
Public Works, known as McLain & Maple's
plan of sub-division of Boydstown, and T. S.
Maple's extension plan of Boydstown,and an or
dinance relocating the same, approved October
4, 18SS. The damages caused thereby and tbe
benefits to pay tbe same to be assessed and col
lected in accordance with the provisions ot an
act of Assembly of the Commonwealth of Penn
sylvania, entitled "An act authorizing and di
recting Councils of cities of the second class
to provide for tbe Improvement of
streets, lanes, alleys and public highways,
sewers and sidewalks, requiring plans of
streets, providing for tbe appointment of a
Board of Viewers of Street Improvements,

Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by the
city ot Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of the same. That tbe
center line of Aurella street, from Shady ave
nue to Dennlston street, be, and the same shall
be, located as follows, to wit: Beginning at a
pin on tbe west 5-foot line of Shady avenue
at a distance of 15.87 feet south from a stone
monument at the first angle in Sbady avenue
south from Penn avenne; thence deflecting to
the left 75 17' for a distance of 1.135.37 feet to
a pin; thence doflectlnc to tbe right 21 12' 20"
for a distance ot 65.88 feet to the west 10-foot
line of Dennlston street, and the said Aurella
street shall be of a width of forty (40) feet,
and the east end ot said Aurella street near its
Intersection with Dennlston street shall be
located In accordance with a plan hereto at
tached, which is made part of this ordinance.
Section 2 That any ordinance or part of
ordinance conflicting with the provisions of

avenue, in the Thirty-first ward ot Pitts-
Whereas, It appears by the petition and
affidavit on file in the office of the Clerk of
Councils, that one-third in Interest of the Own
ers of property fronting and abutting upon the
said streets, have petitioned the Councils of
said city to enact an ordinance for the grading,
paving and curbing of the same; therefore.
Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by the
city of Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority ot the same. That the
Chief of the Department ot PublicWorks be
and is hereby authorized and directed to ad
vertise in accordance with tbe acts of Assembly
of tbe Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the
ordinances of the said city of Pittburg relating
thereto and regulating tbe same, forproposals
for the grading, paving and curbing of Allen

the nortvS-toot line of Rutledge street be, and
the same shall be located as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the center line of Fingal street
at a distance of 620.08 feet from the south 6-foot
line of Greenleaf street; thence deflecting to
the right 89 64' for a distance of 469.92 feet to
the west 5-foot line of Republic street: thence
deflecting to the left about 67 along said 6-foot
line of Republic street for a distance of 76 feet
more or less to a point; thence deflecting to the
right 89 54' for a distance of about 1,000 feet to
the west line of Orlena alley, and said street
shall be a width of 40 feet, or In accordance
with A. & C. Sbaler't Plan of Lots recorded in

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
and fixing the time when all revenues not
otherwise appropriated and all unexpended
balances of the regular appropriations legally
transferable to the sinking fund shall be
paid and credited to the sinking fund of said
city.
Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by the
city of Pittsburg, in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it It hereby ordained .and
enacted by tbe authority ot the tame. Thai all
revenues not otherwise appropriated, and all
unexpended balances of tbe regular appropria
tion at the end of each fiscal year, which by
law are transferable to the sinking fund, shall
be and become part of the sinking fund of said
city, and credited thereby from and upon and
not before the 31st day of March of each and
every year hereafter.
Section 2 That any ordinance or part of or
dinance conflicting with tbe provisions of this
ordinance tie and the same is hereby repealed,
so far as the same affects this ordinance.

avenue, from Bono street to Hiland avenue, in
the Thirteenth, Fourteenth and Twentieth
wards of Pittsburg.
Whereas, It appears by the petition and affi
davit on file m tbe 'office of the Clerk of Coun
cils that one-third in interest of the owners ot
property fronting and abutting upon the
said street have petitioned the Coun
cils ot said city to enact an ordinance
for the grading, paving and curbing of the
tame: therefore.
Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by tbe
city of Pittsburg, iu Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it Is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of tbe same. That tbe
Chief of the Department of Public Works be
and is hereby authorized and directed to ad
vertise in accordance with the acts of Assem
bly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and

provisions of this ordinance the person or per
sons, societies, clubs or . corporations so viola
ting shall upon conviction Defdre any Police
Magistrate be liable to a fine not exceeding 50
for each and every offense, and in default of
payment thereof shall be committed to the
Allegheny County Workhouse for a period not
exceeding 30 days. Provided, That the pro
visions of this ordinance shall not apply to
private or charity balls, the Superintendent of
Police to be the Judge of this provision as to
what is private and what is charity
Section 5 That any ordinance or part of or
dinance conflicting wlurthe provisions of this

South Twenty-ninth street for a distance of 450
feet westwardly..
Section 1 Be it ordained and enacted by the
city of Pittsburg in Select and Common Coun
cils assembled, and it Is hereby ordained and
enacted by the authority of the same. That the
Chief of the Department of Public Works be,
and Is hereby authorized and directed to ad
vertise in accordance with the acts of Assem
bly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and
the ordinances of tbe said city of Pittsburg re
lating thereto and regulating tbe same, for pro
posals for the'constructlon of a pipe sewer on
Carey alley, commencing at the end of the
present sewer near the east line of South
Twenty-ninth street, thence westwardly for
a distance of 235 feet It shall be 15
Inches tn diameter, and from thence a distance
of 215 feet, it shall be 12 inches in diameter, to
crown of alley near South Twenty-eighth street,
tbe contract therefor to he let in the manner di
rected by the said acts -of Assembly and ordi
nances. The cost and expense of tbe tame to
be assessed and collected in accordance with
the provisions of an act ot Assembly of tbe

enacted by the authority of the same. That the
City Engineer be and is hereby authorized and
directed to advertise for proposals for the con
struction of a boardwalk on tbe south s de of
Virginia avenue, from Ulysses street to Bigham
street, and on the north side of Virginia ave
nue, from Bigham street to Oneida street, and
to let the tame in the manner directed by an
act concerning streets approved January 6,
1864, and the several supplements thereto and
ordinances ot Councils relative to the same.
The cost and expense of the same to be assessed
and collected in accordance with the provisions
of an act of Assembly, entitled "An act con
cerning streets and sewers in the city of Pitts
burg," approved January 6, 1864, and the sev
eral supplements tbereto.

Leila street, from Boggs avenue to Washington
avenue, south, be and the same is hereby lo
cated as follows, to wit: The south five-foot line
shall begin at a pin on the west five-foot line of
Boggs avenue, at a distance southerly of 194.22
feet from a stono monument situated on the
first angle north of Leila street, thence deflect
ing to the left 94 42' 40" for a distance of 958.76
feet to a pin, thence deflecting to the right 13
46' for a distance of about 610 feet to center
line of Washington avenue, sjuth, or city line
and said street shall be of a width of 40 feet.
Section 2 That any ordinance or part of or
dinance conflicting with the provisions of this
ordinance, be and the same is hereby repealed
so far as the samo affects this ordinance.
