observation and treatment
Dr. J. C. Rogers, of North Alle-
gheny street, Sunday became a pa-
tient in the Philipsburg Hospital,
where he will remain a week or more
while under observation

Jacob A. Bottorf, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Willis M. Bottorf of North
Spring street, recently was promot-
ed from the rank of second lieuten-
ant to first lieutenant. Lt. Bottorf
is stationed at Camp Kilmer, N
Mrs. Julia Hines, of East How-
ard street, who had been seriously

Winfield Love, of South Penn
street, became ill at his home dur-
ing the weekend and on Sunday
was taken to the Centre County
Hospital for observation and treat-
ment. Yesterday x-rays were taken
to determine whether an operation
will be necessary

cadet nurse in training at Will-
tamsport Hospital, spent the week-
end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs
Vincent Flynn, of East Bishop street.

family resided in Bellefonte before
moving to Washington several years
ago.
Captain and Mrs. Nevin C. Jo-
don and son, John, and Miss Audrey
Roan, all of Boston, Mass. arrived
here during the weekend for a
week's visit with Capt. Jodons
mother, Mrs. J. C. Jodon, and fam-

her husband, Pvt. John R. Gingher,
at Ft. Riley, Kansas, Mrs. Gingher
left Bellefonte Sunday night by

revealed him to be suffering from a
blood stream infection. When his
parents arrived In Norfolk they
found their son was being treated
with penicillin and that he was re-
