Council Rejects C. of C.
Plea for 2-Week Mora-
torium Before Xmas
A request by the local Chamber of
Commerce that all parking meter
be made inoperative during the two
weeks immediately bofore Christmas
was rejected by Borough Council at
a regular meeting Monday night
and the meters will remain in op-
eration throughout the holiday sea-
son
A poll of Council on the question
was taken after a lengthy discussion
and all Councilmen, with the excep-
tion of Nevin Bmith, voted in favor
of a motion to keep the meters in
{operation. Councilman Smith voted
[against the motion. Those voting
