completed a three-weeks' course at

ter, Dolores, expect to move this
week from Wingate to one side of
the Clayton Shope double house on
East Curtin street. Mr. Malone last
October enlisted in the Sea-Bees
and is now at Camp Peary, Va

visit with his wife, the former Eva
Coslo, and their daughter, Peggy

street, has resigned her clerical po-

and on Monday began the duties of

bersburg, were callers at our office
on Tuesday. Thev called to arrange
for the advertising of the public

Perrin Pleld, Sherman, Texas, ar.
rived in Bellefonte yesterday to
spend a 24-day leave with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Dobelbow-
er, at their home on West Curtin
street. Cadet Dobelbower entered
the service a year ago and this
his first trip home since that time

daughters, Nancy Jo and Janet, of
North Spring street, expect to leave
in February for Tallahassee, Flor-
ida, for an indefinite stay with her
husband, Cpl. Beardslee. who is sta-
tioned at Camp Gordon Johnson

Sunday to his duties at Camp Me-

living with her parents in Oil City
and who was with her husband while
at Wingate, also returned Sunday to
her home.

Bellefonte, R. D. 3, are rejoicing
over the arrival of a little son born
January 12 at their home near
Pleasant Gap. Mr. Burd is an em-
ploye of the State Pish Hatchery at
that place. Mrs. Burd the for-
mer Gladys Walker, of Milesburg
The family now consists of three
sons and a daughter. Mother and
child are reported to be doing nicely

their niece, Mrs. Drexel Rodgers,
37, of Towson. Mrs. Rodgers died In
2 Baltimore hospital about a week
after undergoing an operation. Her
husband Is serving in the Navy and
some difficulty was being experienc

Mrs. Rodgers was quite well known
in Bellefonte through visits with
the Willams and Walker families

for the past several months had
been residing in Niagara Palls, N

cident near her home. The girl,
