Mrs. Dean Ishler returned to

Mills, is at the Ishler home looking
after the children, Dean, Jr, and

—Lt. Joseph Moerschbacher, of
Houston, Texas, has completed two
months of special training at Hart-
ford, Conn., and during the weekend
joined his wife and daughter, Molly
Kay, at the home of Mrs. Moersch-
bacher’s father, J. Kennedy John-
ston, on East Bishop Street. They
also visited Lt. Moerschbacher's par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moersch-
bacher, of East Bishop Street, and
on Tuesday the family departed for
their home in Houston, Texas. Lt,
Moerschbacher is stationed at El-
lington Field, Texas.

day afternoon, in celebration of his
eighth birthday anniversary, which
occurred on Sunday, April 18. The

Cemetery, Washington, D. C.

street, went fishing along Spring
Creek just below the Paradise the
first day and caught seven trout.
One measured 22 inches, another 20
inches, a third 18 inches. When
cleaned and ready for the frying
pan the seven trout welghed six
pounds, four ounces

the first grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
W. Scott Walker, of Milesburg

man second class, has completed his
“boot” training at the U. 8, Naval
base at Bainbridge, Md., and arrived
home Wednesday of last week for

and Mrs. Elmer Rockey and family,
of East Lamb street. Elmer, Jr. en-
listed on March 1 and expects to re-
ceive a transfer to another base in

Mrs, Edward Kofman, of Fast
Linn street, suffered a severe injury
of the right eye, Sunday, in an ac-
cident at her home. Mrs. Kofman
and her young son “Butch” were
romping, when a screwdriver Mrs
Kofman had in her hand was struck
and the point entered her eve. Since
then she has been under medical
care and it is believed the sight will
not be lost. The injury is a most
painful one

graph of a group of three Alr Corps
students receiving instruction from
a Sergeant. One of the students is
Anthony Berardis, aged 20, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Ottavio Berardis, of
East Lamb street, Bellefonte, Ber-
ardis, a second-year student at Penn
State College, interrupted his studies
there last November to enter the
Air Corps
~William W. Beatty, who recently
graduated from the Thomas Rankin
Pation Masoniz School for Boys at
Elizabethtown, arrived in Bellefonte,
Saturday, and is now at the home
of his mother, Mrs. Charles Beatty,
on Fast Curtin street, William has
enrolled as an aviation cadet in the
U. 8. Naval Reserves and while
awaiting a call to service hopes to
attend summer school at Penn State
this summer. Al the Elizabethtown
