WILLIAM T, TURNER
William T. Turner, 80, husband of
the late Grace Sperring Turner, who
died April 24, passed away at his
home in New York City, Sunday af-
ternoon after an {liness of two vears
A native of Centre county, he had
resided at Conifer, N. YY, for forty
years, serving three as treasurer of
the Emporium Lumber Company. He
retired two years ago because of ill
health, and moved to New York. M1
Turner was a 33rd degree Mason
Surviving him are two daughters,
Miss Beulah and Mrs. Ruth Manda
ville, both of New York City The
body was brought to Lock Haven for
burial
MRS. CORA E. ZERBY
Mrs. Cora E. Zerby, of Columbus,
Ohio, died in the Doctors Hospital,
July 9, 1942 She had been in {ll
health since December 1939, when
she was in an automobile accident
Mrs. Zerby was born December 16,
18900, at Howard, Centre County, a
daughter of Charles and Elizabeth
Askey Smith. She was married in
1900 Stewart Zerby Surviving
are one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Belt
and one grandchild of
Ohio; one sister, Mrs. L
of Columbus; two brothers

He was born January 30, 1884 in
Clearfield, a son of Samuel Miles and
Isabel Rea Bloom His wife, the
Lulu Patterson whom he
married June 27, 1906, survives with
two children and several brothers
and sisters Funeral services were
held Monday at Dr. Charles Stew-
art's home in State College, with the
Rev. Charles W. McClay of Philips
burg officiating Interment was
made in Fruit Hill cemetery, Clear-
field county

marriage, Saturday afternoon, July
25, in the main chapel of the Ordi-
nance School, Aberdeen Proving
Ground, Md. Chaplain Robert J
Keeler, U. 8 Army, officiated, and
the double ring ceremony was used.
The chapel organist played “I Love
You Truly” before the ceremony and
continued playing softly while the
ceremony was being performed. The
couple was attended by Captain and
Mrs. Harold T. Amrine of Havre de
Grace, Md, The bride wore a street
{length powder blue dress with navy
accessories and a corsage of pink
rose buds. The bridegroom and best
man were in uniform. Immediately
after the service a wedding dinner
was served for the bridal party at
the Colonial hotel in Havre de Grace.
Mrs. Armstrong is a graduate of the
{State College High School and at.
{ tended Williamsport Dickinson Jun-
jor College and Penn State. For the
past three years she has been em-
ployed in the office of the Penns
Valley sales barn at Centre Hall. Lt
