Pace Six A EE ”~ OBITUARY MRS. WINIFRED PORTER EBBS Mrs. Winifred Porter Ebbs, sister- in-law of H. G. Ebbs, of Halfmoon township, died at her home in Cher- okee, Okla, Friday, FPebruary 20 1942. A native of Kansas, Mrs, Ebbs was 80 years old and was the widow of the late George T. Ebbs. After their marriage they lived at the Ebbs home at Lovaville until 33 years ago when they returned to the west, Surviving are a son, Donald J, a daughter, Mrs. Harvey Pryor, and 8 grandchildren Mrs. Ebbs was a member of the Methodist church and of the Grange. A vear ago Mrs. Ebbs visited relatives and friends in Centre county HILAND W., BIDDLE Hiland W. Biddle, 79, a native of RSaic Run, Centre county, died rday morning at the home of his pin Bo and daughter, Dr and Mrs. G. C. Well Pittsburgh, with whom he and his wife had been visiting since early last December: Death was caused by a heart attack following a period of ill health with complications. His parents were John Mary Ba dger Biddle, of Run Valley On July 23, Biddle was united in mar- Womer of Osceola Mills. At time Mr. Biddle was teaching school. A short time after he entered the mercantile business that place and continued that line of work until fire in 1935 com- pletely destroyed his establishment and adjoining home. Following the loss their home the Biddle fam- ilv moved to Philipsburg. Surviving along with Mrs. Biddle, are three daughters, Ray, wife of R. H, Gar- land, of Philipsburg: Mary, wife pr. QO. She was a daughter of Samuel G. and Catherine Meyer Mingle and was born on October 12, 18556, making her age at time of death 86 years, 4 months and 12 days.
