dation for the effectiveness of the
treatment prescribed for them.
The current issue of “Fretted
Ingtrument News” bi-monthly pud- |
lication of the American Guild of
Banjoists, Mandolinists and Gui-
tarists, contains a number of refer-
ences to the Bellefonte Banjo Band
which competed with such out-
standing success at the Guild's an-
nual convention at Niagara Falls
early in July. In a column con-
ducted by Miss Lee Moller, this
ecmment appears, in part: “The
Pellefoute band... was resplendent
in uniforms of purple and gold
Their precision-like movements and
excellent co-ordination of effort
r*ahs® from the audience, There
is little doubt in my mind that this
fine band represent stiff competi-
tion for all participants in 1942 at
8pringfield, Mass. ...T thought they |
were tops.” Another report says.
