i Pishing in the Susquehanna river
| near the Riverside cemetery, at To-
iwanda, Roy Blanchard caught a
| Busquehanna Salmon which weigh-
| ed four pounds and was 24 and one-
(half inches long. The catch was

made on a Weaver bug. This was |
| the second large fish that Mr. Blan-
chard has caught in as many weeks
it reached the earth.
"The Chicora meteorite streaked
| across the sky, a great ball of fire, !

j der. Only two small fragments were
| found, orfe weighing 242 grams, the |
| other 61 grams
| Only five other meteorites have
| beenl dug up in Pennsylvania, Larg-

HONORED FOR SERVICE
Miss Margaret Brown, who re-
tired on July 1 after nearly 24 years
of service in the home economics
extension work of the Pennsylvania
State College, was honored with the
Certificate of Recognition of Ep.
