BERTHA SHARER ELECTED
TO IST AND 2ND GRADES
At a meeting of the Centre Hail- |
Potter school board Monday even- |
ing, Miss Bertha Sharer was elected
teacher of grades 1 and 2 for next |
year. She formerly was employed |
in the township. |
At this same meeting plans were |
made to Jay a new floor in the hall |
of the old section of the high school |
building and to sand and polish |
the floor in the large room finished |
last year,
The calendar for 1941-42 was |
completed with Sept. 2 set as the |
opening and May 22 as the closing |
date. Holidays are similar to last
vear
The auditors made their annual |
report at this meeting also. They |
were John Whileman, George
Sweeney and Mrs. Lovan Smith
from the borough, and John Treas-
ter and Boyd Smith from Potter
Township.
Other business transacted at this
meeting included arrangements to |
pay the teachers in the high school
and grades over a period of twelve |
months instead of nine
