MISS ANNIE BECK
Miss Annie Beck, of Philipsburg,
died Monday morning, December 9,
1040, at 9:40 o'clock in the Centre
County Home, Bellefonte, Miss Beck |
who had been an invalid since frac-
turing a hip more than a year ago,
was a patient in the Philipsburg
State Hospital before being admit-
fed to the home on ‘Pebruary 10 of |
this year. She was born August 24,
1857, and is survived by two sisters,
Miss Nannie and Miss Love Beck
beth of Philipsburg. Funeral ser-
vices were held yesterday afternoon
in the parlor of the Methodist
church, Philipsburg in charge of
her pastor Rev, Walter H, Wil-
Hams. Interment was made at Phil-
ipsburg
JOSEPH RB. LINN,
Joseph B. Linn, 74 former farmer
and woodsman of Beech Creek, and
more recently a resident of Lock
Haven died esrrly Tuesday morn-
ng. Dec. 10, 1940; at the Sia'e
Hospital at Danville where he had
been taken a month ago for treat-
ment for nerves and a glandular |
condition. Born and ralsed Ia]
Beech Creek, he had lived there
most of his life until went Lo
Lock Haven to reside with his son,
A. W. Linn. His wife dieq three
years ago. Mr Linn was a mem-
ber of the Methodist Church at
Beech Creek and the Red
lodge there. Surviving him in ad-

Abram Crain Nearhoof, a lifelong
resident of Warrior's Mark valley,
died suddenly at his home at War-
rior's Mark on Monday afternoon
December 9, 1940, of a heart condi-|
tion. Mr. Nearhoof was a son of
Evan and Lydia (Crain) Nearhoof
and was born at Wanior's Mark on
July 11, 1863. On September 2, 1891,
at Huntingdon, he was united In
marriage with Miss Flora B, Wil-
son. He is survived by thesa daugh-
ters and son: Miss Grace _cearhoof,
Miss Hazel Nearhoof, Miss Ruth

married Miss Nancy Houser, who
eceded him in death on December
