was united in marriage with Mabel
Walker, who preceded him in deacl
by nine weeks. Survivors include one
son. Gle E. Grubb, of Stow, Ohio;
four brothers and two sisters: John
B. Ray E. J. Earl and Neilson D
Grubb, all of Akron; Mre. Cora Nix-
on, Jersey City, N. J.. and Mrs. Vir-
ginin Bloom, of Bellefonte Funeral
services were held Wednesday, Jan-
wary 17. with burial at Roze Hill
Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio, On

Death came suddenly and unex-
pectedly to John Davy. for 42 years
a well known taxi operator in Belle-
fonile, about noon Thursday

when he succumbed in the yard at |
the rear of the Edward Summers
home in Milesburg where he had
been making his home. Although he
had been around as asual,
had not been in the best of health
for some time. A son of Sylvester
and Naney Wetherbee Davy, he was
born on January 20, 1874, making his
age at time of death 65 years, 11
months and 19 days. On June 25,
1900, he was united in marriage with
Sarah Nyman, who paged away
seven years ago. Surviving are two
daughters and a son: Mrs, Mary
Kock, of Bellefonte: Miss Betty
Davy, of Milesburg, and a son, Wil-
liam Davy, of Bellefonte, R. D. The
deceased was a member of the
Moose lodge of Belleivtite. Funeral
services were held Bunday afternoon
at the Welzler Memorial
