The anion will be baaed rhiefly on certain clauses of the State Constitution which were approved and indorsed by congress at the time of the Annexation of Texas, and which, it is claimed, make the United State# Government liable for slave property. The plaintiff in the case was a strong and very pronounced Union man during the war, and the proposed action is indorsed and will lie pushed by some of the best lawyers of Texas.
