WASHINGTON, March 26.—The funeral
ceremonies ol Hear Admiral Gustavus
11. Scott took place at 3 o'clock this at

The Fonrtb Battalion of Federal

tion was taken by the Government in

that may arise in regard to the settle
ment of boundary dispute between
Mexico and Guatemala and to give pro
tect too to settlers.
On receipt of information that the
family of Sergeant Mason was in die
tress, the Philadelphia Press sent a oor
re*|>ondf nt to Virginia to ioquire into
Mrs. Mason's condition, and at once
began collecting ten cent contributions.
The correspondent reports that the
needs of "Betty and the baby" are as
represented. The Press fund has al
ready over 10000 contributors 6.000 of
whom were added Saturday, raising the
fund to S6OO. .
