T IIKAR the most wonderful things
about tbe bell which the friends of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Itnlph Tewnscnd
will give en Thursday night for Anne
Teunseml, who is u debutante. I think
it Is a most wonderful tribute te tbe
memory of the parents of this little bud.
but I am net Mirpriged. for they wei
the must charming couple and their
(tenths he close together were such a
tragedy for their little daughter. Anne

LAST night the Walter Jefferds gave
a ball nt the nitas-Carlten for
Marguerite Beyle, who is a debutante
this season, you knew. She is the
dautfiter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A.
Bejle and niece of Mr. and Mrs. Jef Jef

Legan Illack was announced Just about
a month age ; indeed, she is the second
bud of the vear te be engaged. The
Jlnt was Allce Wethcrlll, whose engage

whose marriage took place en Novem

debntuntins and she's extremely hnp

girdle of emeralds was arranged low
about the hips. She were brocaded

finished with n girdle of the material.
Bunny Geary were a frock of black

Lillle Stewart were a gown of cloth

a hitle -lighter shade of American
lieillty.
Marie, Jxmisc Adams were a frock

Bnditijver, Ihw, and Mary Falck looked
Muntiliifi. in n gown of cherry red velvet,

falling from the wiist. She carried
ua ostrich .feather fan of the same color.
