One day, when an armistice was the least thing thought of, the army was
found te need raincoats, and Government men were turned loose te requisition retail
stocks came here one afternoon and took every civilian raincoat we had. Net an
army style in the let; wc didn't keep army clothes. And country-wide.
Before they were shipped from the country the vyar's end came and the
Government had the raincoats.
They were most carefully stored and only recently were they sold as
Surplus Property
