This spirit of caution perhaps has
been unduly ncccntuated by rensen of
the unntlsfnctpry sltuntien resulting
from tlie prolonged coal nnd rail strikes,
the low price for farnl products and the
uneasy foreign position. While the
labor troubles have become n matter of
history, there nre many who nre con
tent teremnln en the side lines until
the after-effects have passed off. It is
nlse recognized there Is a big bill te ny
for the long holiday, which, In the
opinion of some of tlie mere conserva
tive, may necessitate n complete re
vision of estimates made as te the pos
sibilities ertall'nnd winter months.

The "settlement of the nil labor
troubles found direct reflection in the
increased buying demand for Pennsyl
vania Railroad, although this read had

The proceeds from the sale of these bends Isbeing used
in payment for the erection of these buildings. The bal
ance is contributed by the Alumni and public-spirited
citizens.
The Temple University was founded in 18&4. It has
educated mere than one hundred thousand students.
The annual enrollment new exceeds eight thousand
students. It conducts Schools of Medicine, Law, Music
Dentistry, Pharmacy, Theology, Commerce, and the
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Teachers
College, and the Samaritan and Garretsen Hospitals. It
also conducts a large number of highly specialized
courses intended te help the young man and the young
woman of limited financial income.
It is co-educational and non-sectarian.
It was founded and is carried en exclusive- '
ly for the public geed.
The bends are issued in denominations of $50, $100
$200, $1000 and $5000. The mortgage is a twenty-year
