and his daughter Nancy have been
having) It seems they were prisoners
of the Bolshevists for three days. They
left this country (they live in German German
ten) during May, bound for Constan
tinople, as Dr. Emhardt is en n mission
in the Near East. Celestine Warder,
Mr. and Mrs. Geerge B. Warder's
daughter, went with them and they ex
pected te stay abroad for six months

Ne one has heard nny detail of the
hippenings except that they were among
the passengers of the British steamship
Geerge, which was seized at Batum,
where they were nil held for three day
and then allowed te go aboard a French
beat. I hope they did net suffer nny
hardship, but whether they did or net

markable, net te say alarming experi
ence. I suppose Celestlne's parents, Mr.
ind Mrs. Warder, are up at Gloucester.
Mass., where they usually go. but I
have net heard. In the winter they live
in a pretty gray stone house in St.
Martins, near the many brides.
Henriettn Wilsen Shnkcspeare and

street. They were married last spring
and have just taken .the house for the

Atlantic City
A large number of Philadelphians, all
members of the Atlantle Oity Yacht
Club, salled ever te Island Heights en
Saturday from the Inlet te take part ln
the Barnerat races, In which Atlantic
City, Seaside Park and Island Heights
Yacht Clubs competed.
The Harriet, the large steam yacht of
Senater C. D. White, called the "mother
ship" of the fleet, accommodated the
women guests ever night, among whom
were Miss Bertha White. Miss Esther
White, Mhs, Edith Sullivan, Mies Eleaner'
Me.Vulty and Miss Helen Jenes. Mr.
Crane's Hermitage and Mr. Kent's Vigi
lant accommodated the men.
About eight one. design catbeata set
sail Friday from the Inlet, headed by
the big steam yachts. Among the small
salts were the Alert, run by Miss Elea Elea
eor McXulty, of Philadelphia, and the
Pep, owned by the Misses White.
Following the races en Saturday the
members of the Atlantle Yacht Club
began a week's cruise and expect te be

tend the Ocean City yacht races.
Mere than 400 little cripples at the
Children's Seaside Heuse were made
happy Saturday arternoen, when Mr. S
Tellls Wlldman, noted singer and com
poser, who has just come ever from Lon Len Lon
eon, arranged a muslcale for the chil
dren's amusement, although "grown
ups" from the outside were also invited.
The selections included were all com
posed by Mr. Wlldman. On Sunday, the
Rev. Mr. Elwell, of the Boardwalk
