headquarters at Frankford avenue and
Somerset street and playing field at
Tulip and Ann streets.
The pest Is the only one In the
uptown section which hat a home play
ing field, and Intends te have one for
many years te come, according te the
Athletic Committee.
Of the forty-four games played thus
fnrf thirty-nine have been returned
victories, three defeats and two tics.
Chairman Chapin, of the Athletic Com
mittee, plans te offer a cup for Legien
baseball teams, and it is expected about
eight entries will contest for the
trophy.

Manager Blat, lias the baseball team
going at ten speed and finds it diffi
cult te book games, as many of the
leading clubs refuse te play the
"Greenwood sluggers," as they have
been termed.
Attention is also being directed te
winter sports, and the pest will be
represented with n soccer nnd basket
ball team and also will take an active
part in track sports.
On Thanksgiving Day some excite
ment is expected, when a pig chase
will be conducted. The mcmbcrsblp is

The Greenwood Pest was organized

chased. The building has been com
pletely renovated, nnd the Greenwood

northeast. The membership has grown

Harry Lyens Greenwood, for whom
It was nanfed, was for xcars one of
I'hlladclpnia's leading ntulctes and a
character known by fans of nil sport
uptown. He was one of the best foot
ball players ever turned out at Central
High and for years was a tower en the
famous Helmcsburg club and chief
rooter for n dozen years et the Jasper
basketball team.
He went into action In the World
War en September 20, 1018, nnd In a
citation sent te headquarters for
