The nineteenth annual track and field
day of the Bhanahan Catholic Club wilt
be held this afternoon, starting nt &
P. M., en the P.' R. R. Y. M. C. A.
grounds,. Forty -fourth street and Park
side avenue.
Mere than two hundred nthletes

twelve events, with a total of 350 en
tries. In addition te the regular events
there are two special numbers en the
program, a seventy-flve-yard dash for
girls, In which twenty -four girls will
compete, and a special one-mlle relay
for Kplgnts of Columbus councils.
This is the first time tn the history
of the A. A. U. that an open race has
been held for girls nnd is In line with
the new policy of the nntiennl body ad
mitting them te competition In tfack
sports.
Six councils have entered In the
Knights of Columbus relav, which will
be the first event he'd under the
nuanlres of the recently formed K. of C.
Athletic Association.

Fourth of July the Germantown Beys'
Club team of Klsselheff, McDonald. Ed Ed

for the first time In a number pf years,
nnd the store tenm is out for revenge.
The special race for girls dinws n
field of twenty-four, and maiiy prom
inent girl athletes take part. Miss Mary
Kilkenny, all-around star of the Curtis
Club, Is among the prominent entries,
and Meadowbrook has Dorethy Nough,
the Temple star, and Samuel J. Dallas,
of Meadowbrook, says she will likely
equsl the record of 8 4-5 seconds for
this event.
