note that 'The Christian' Is te be re

(Darn feels.)
"Among the many reels of 'junk'
which are se common nowadays, allow
me te cntalngne 'The Weman Who
Walked Alene.' 'The Adventures of
Ilnlrbrcndth Harry' with a different
title! Of course, Dorethy Dnlten makes
n superb Belinda nnd Milten Sills
lends depth nnd feeling te the character
of Harry. Nevertheless, there isn't
much difference.
"Will you kindly tell me whether
any one has bought the film rights te
'If Winter Cemes,' nnd, if the rights
have been sold, who is likely te be
stnrred in It?
"I learned recently thnt the rights
te 'The Benutlful and Damned' had
been purchased by Warner Brethers.
This nnmc Isn't familiar te me and I
would appreciate It If you would name
me a few pictures they have produced.
De you think they are likely te transfer
either the story or the fcplrit of Fitz
gerald te the screen? (Provided, of
seurse, that the censers de net Inter

"This Is plenty for one evening. I
still hnve mere en my chest, which I
will get off at n Inter date. This has
relieved me for the time being."
Thnt production of "Tess" was, of
course, technically an Impossible kind
of thing it was one of the earliest
of the Famous Players output
but Mrs. Fluke did nn excellent piece
of work. I don't hee why you sny
you would think she wouldn't. On the
stage, her rendition of the snme rele

In the pictures tee, you knew.
I don't wish te be unduly nrgumen

always strikes me as either geed or very,
very rotten. I'm frank te admit that
most of them I see are very, very rotten,
but new and then, as with "Meran of

deride. It seems te me that they nchlcved
the object they sought, and did It with
nn artistic finish which atoned for many
