TfllS sounds like a chronicle of
r mlng events, but you knew n day
like yesterday one did net go about
j.Vtry much, though I did brave the
mther and go down te St. Peter's for
Miry Page's wedding. Mary looked
perfectly darling In her mother's wed
ding dress. She made It mere modern
by adding a court train of white velvet.
Which was one of the richest things I
hive seen for a long time.
I Her lace was rose point. It had Deen
W6rn by her grandmother and was aim
ply ftqulsitc. There Is nothing like old
i.ac. after all, Is there? That creamy
crleh tone it has is se different from any
pewly bought lace, no matter hew hand
some. 'The maid of honor and bridesmaids'
hits were awfully quaint and becoming.
Ths brims were of horse hair in a sort
of periwinkle blue and the crowns were
, of pinkish silk. Jane Yeatman's hat
was all of silk. As for the beuuuetx.
they were nient artistic, purple lilacs,
orchids and sweetpeas. 4
AUNT DOLLY came en te visit lately
and with her came small' Piggy.
New they had te travel quite a dis
tance, and it was tee much of an under
taking te bring the coach. Se after
Aunt Delly arrived she thought of a
friend who lived near and whose little
sfrl was tee big for a coach and won
dered if she would lend hers te Peggy.
She went te see another friend and they
dlicuised It together, forgetting that
Hfd friend's small daughter Pelly,
aged three, was in the room.
Said Aunt Delly: "I don't quite
like te ak Alice, she may have It
ricked away In the storeroom;" "Oh.
wouldn't mind." said Pelly's mamma,
'she's coming down this afternoon for
tee and perhaps we can tactfully speak
of Mirhes. I Itnew hew VOU feel. 1
tilt hate te ask people te de anytmne,
hit means trouble for them, but I m
sure ehe would net mind: she'll proun preun
lly be delighted." "I'm sure she
will," said Aunt Delly, "but I hate te
ik, just the same."
However, when Alice arrived Pelly
took all the problem away from them
by marching out from the corner where
fche was playing and saying. Alice,
Delly wants your conch for Peggy.
