Mothers attended the funeral today
of Mrs. Anna McKee, 1M4 Christian

Freed In Sheeting of Detective
Oeergc Gardner, of CM North Thir
teenth street, arrested last night by
police of the Second and Christian
streets station in connection with the
recent sheeting of Detective I,eiiis
Kaplan, was discharged this morning
for lack of ewdence. Kaplan was simt
while taking part In a raid against a
band of bootleggers at Sixteenth and
Cambridge stieets. The shot was tired
at random from the autetruck in whidi
the bootleggers made their escape
