Themas F. Watsen, Vnrc leader, and
chairman of the City Committee, who
was elected City Tieainrer. Hut the
Independents foiled the efforts of the
Combine tu capture the minority honors
and left In Oermantenn, nnd yet his
total was 0011. Magistrate Rcushaw
carried the minority vote with a total
of 5228. Miss Fester's total was 353.1.
Tlie real independents nlse carried
the minority places in the Twenty-third
Ward, Magistrate Henshaw leading
with a tetnl of 2010, which was
about 000 mere than received by Scott.
With the exception of Scott nnd Perri,
the Combine candidates wen the ward.
The winning Combine nmjerlty and
minority slntes carried the Twenty
fourth Ward, where Iilnkulv D. Me
Catiglin. Collector of Internal Revenue,
is the Penrose leader. Magistrate Ren
bhaw broke into the minority line-up
with a total of 2107.
Magistrate William F. Campbell,
leaner et the Twenty-fifth
elected Register of ills, gave a perfect
