Pittsburgh, Oct. 21. The conven

go down in history as the one in which
women orators have predominated and
each un orator with n compelling mes

"Why has the family hearthstone

"What is the secinl curriculum in
your town?"
Why Bheuld net the women's clubs

Dr. Rae Mulrhead, of the New Cas

question, "Why a Policewoman?" con
vincingly and with word power gave
facts of her experiences.
Allurements for the Yeung Denounced
She asserted that in bcr findings it
was evident the automobile has become
the worst curse of the age when the
young ere allowed te take their pleasure-getting
into their own hands, un
chaperoned. She classed next the mo

heroines, These have disastrous effect
en the minds of the girls, she said. Next
came the public dance hall. All th6se
agencies when unsupervised are dan

supervision, first of mothers nt home
and then of the right kind of authori
ties, the emanating wave of crime msy

expressed by Dr. Mulrhead.
