,Frcd nnd Adcle Astalre, tho sprightly
youngsters who romped off with n largo
share of the dancing honors In "Apple
Blossoms," the Kretsler operetta, which
was seen In Philadelphia two seasons
ago,' nre now the sensation In support
of John Chnrlcs Thomas, the' baritone,
who' is starred in "The Love Letter"
at the Forrest Theatre.
There nre two remarkable facts about
the Astalres. In the first nlflcc, they
really nro brother nnd sister and As
tnlro happens to be their real name.
In the second place, they are a pair
of dancing juveniles who are fulfilling
as gr6wn-ups Adcle is now tWenty
two, and Fred is now twenty-one the
promise they showed when they began
to dance as children ten years ago.
. The Astalres were born in Omaha
Nob., arid came to Xow Ti'ork when
they were cloven nnd ten years old, re
spectively. They were placed under the
Metropolitan, dancing master, M. Tieri,
for a time, nnd later joined Ned Way-
burn's then noted school for children,
which developed many stage favorites,
The family suffered financial reverses
and the two children wcro forced to
dance for A living.

and a half dozen others, all populnr
successes.
Fred Jackson wrote the book for the
new pleco. It tells of how two little
girls, twins, attempt to voyage all the
wny from New York to India on one
ticket. Innumerable complications
arise.
In tho cast are the Fairbanks twins,

Janvier. George E. Mack, thn Tnmuit,
twins, Vnnda Iloff and Evelyn Law
