ber 0 and 10. This was nmumnml to
day, at Hnrrlsburg, by the Stntc Ilurcau
of Elections.
The bureau also calls attention to the
fact that nominating petitions for
State-wide offices, judicial and consti
tutional convention delegate nomina
tions mtint be filed with the secretary bv
August 11 and other petitions filed with
County Commissioners bv August 2.1.
The personal registration dates for
cities of second and third class follow:
Pittsburgh and Scranton, September 8,
13 and 17.
Third clnss cities September 1, 0
tod 17.
There will be different hours for the
wious c'asses.
All previous registrations expire this
year and to vote nt the primary in the
cities registration it essential.
The September primnrv will be held
on the 20th, and will be unusual in
that, in addition to making nominations,
c people of the State will vote on the
question of the constitutional conven

Shakespearean nctor of the younger

activities to the writings of the bard ot
Avon.
He recently organized his own com
nnnv nnd presented "The Wandering
."cw" in London. This piny was one
of the biggest successes Kuglnnd ever
experienced so much so. that David
Bclasco purchased the rights for the
play nnd will present it In New York
next season.
Mr. Lang, with II. C. M. Harding,
is nlso the author of the stage success.
"Carnival," from which the picture
was originally tnken.
He first presented the play in London
several veors ago appearing in the stellar
role of "Silvio Stcno," the tragedian.
IMPROVING the gracefulness of the
human body through the taking of
delsnrto or elocution lessons has
long been recognized as being founded

ing of motion-picture roles ns n means
of mnklng the mind more plastic.
It is declared that even the attempt
to enact roles causes the student to ex
perience some of the emotions they
attempt to express and br so doing
undergo experiences that give them n
broader understanding of the whole

The lole which the beautiful Hope
Hampton has in "Love's Penalty,"
the attraction at the Victoria next
week, is recommended as one which
provides almost a complete course in
the new study.
The role, nnd especially dramatic
one, written especially for Miss Hamp
ton, sends her from happiness to grief,
then to unger, then to cold rage,
finally pity, followed by sorrow and
then love.
CONSTANCY TALMADOK will be
on the screen of the Stanley week of
