Mayor Moore, nnd the Mayor 'h8

ndelphla Rapid Transit Co. In an
official statement Issued by tho Mayor
yesterday he nnnounced receipt of the
complaints, nnd said ho had called them
to the attention of Thomas E. Mitten,
the P. II. T. president.
"It seems tho noises aro duo to the
thumping of traction cars In tho lra
mediate neighborhood of tho hospltnls,"
sald tho Mayor. Ho said ho knew Mr.
Mitten "had troubles of his own," and
