Many a Man Lost His
Principles and Himself
in the speculative side of the great war. Men
there were, too, who thought they were
stormproof against every temptation of paying
for influence to be favored with contracts; men
who locked up wool, cotton, leather, food and
' other commodities.
When a man comes to a point to ask, "How
much will it take to get me that position or that
contract?" he has passed into a state of moral
blindness and will sleep in a bed of hornets.
If it be possible to straighten out things, do
it quickly.
Signed
Jane to, 1931.

If it Is True That a Woman Feels the
Way She Looks
instead of looking the way she feels, it is easy to see why dress is so important!
Here arc half a hundred or more French frocks with prices reduced to $35 to $50
a saving of $10 to $25 and every one of them is so dainty, so charming that it is hard to
imagine a woman wearing one and not feeling her best. They arc hand made, of course;
the materials mostly handkerchief linen and sheer voile, finished and made exquisite with
hand drawn-work and embroidery and the narrowest, delightfulest of ribbons.
The colors of the frocks are like those of a flower garden pale blue, sunset yellow,
lemon, rose, white, lavender, gray. And necks arc often square and sleeves almost always
short.
Sizes arc 34 to 40.
Prices, $35 to $50.

sweater; they have a sweater sash and a white organdie
vesteo with cither Peter Pan or roll collar and cuffs. The
vestee and cuffs may be removed for laundering.
