IT ALWAYS seems to me that fnnny
happenings nt weddings take place
around this time of year. Here is the
latest I havp heard of and It Is n won
der. It happened nt n wedding about
a month ago. in? matron oi nonor,
who Is a very dear and muchly loved
person, has the darllngest wee daughter,
who wanted to see "muwy" walking
tip the aisle ever and ever so much.
So they" took her to the church and
placed her in n pqw high up with other
mernbers of the family, nnd she had a
wonderful time, for everywhere she
looked she row a smiling face, nud
terv one seem to love her.
Well, the music began, and there
came tho bridal party and "rauvvy
all pretty nnd sweet, walking ahead of
the bride. Small daughter looked long
and hard at her, nnd evidently ap
proved ; for having seen hc turned to
other amusements and began mnklng
"blow mouths" nt her small cousin in
the next pew. Thnt was all well and
good, but when the clergyman enmc to
the part, "If any man can show just
cause why these two persons may not
lawfully be joined together lot him now
speak or else forever after hold his
peace" you know thnt tense moment
when you always think, "Oh. wouldn't
it be awful if any one said anything '
Well, any way, just nt that moment
the babv decided to be more effusive In
ner blowing or moutns, anci ns tno woru
"peace" died away Just before "I re
quire and charge you both" "Boo,"
Mid Miss Baby at tho top of her lungs,
and the whole church and bridal part
was just about electrocuted..

Modern Shoe
Scientists today deplore the wear
ing of shoes which bind the foot'
und prohibit the freo action oi ths
mubcles. Primitive peoples, who
wore simple foot coverings of soft
skins, had feet that wore graceful
und sturdy. Their walk was elastic ,
and untiring.
The ordinary stiff-soled shoes of
"civilised"" i aces cause many serious
foot troubles because thev check th
circulation and weaken the muscles
' by disuse. But the Cantilever Shoe
gives the foot perfect freedom. It
supports u weak arch without harm
ful restraint. The flexible shank
oncourages the foot to arch and
1 bend, to EXERCISE. It strength'
ens the muscles surrounding the
small bones of the arch. In this
i splendid natural wav, Cantilevers
prevent and correct flat foot.
The Cantilever Shoe has a natural
inner sole line that permits the toes
to point straight ahead an they
should for comfort. The heel is set
to distribute the weight properly,
without strain on the arch. Every
