Bowman rode a bicycle and carried
the child on the handlebars. As lie ap
proached the grade crossing at Morris

pound fracture of the left leg, severe

a probable fracture of 'tho akull. nis
condition Is critical, physicians say.
The accident was witnessed. by Mrs.
Bowman, who was watching for her
husband and son from a window ot
tie Bleder home, scarcely fifty feet
from tho scene of the accident. Her
cries brought her mother, Mrs. Rleder,
to the scene. Both women became hys
terical and were placed under the care
ef a physician.
