SPEAKING of tho other side, T hear

again, but not ulonq. She is going with
Mrs. John . Brown, nnd they nro

They expect to stay-about six months,
if not longer,- nnd will visit France and
Italy and England. Mrs. Brown has
been in deep mourning for scverul years
tlnco the death of Mr. Brown, and has
only latoly started to go about a bit

nnd they will doubtless have a beauti

DID you know that Hope McMIchacl

to stay with her nuut Mrs. Henry Hoyt,
In Washington. Mrs. Hoyt was a Miss

She announced Hope's engagement to
Eire Oarlbaldl. a grandson of the fa

abroad to do reconstruction work. Her
marriage is scheduled to take place
April 10 In Washington.

conditions in France. Her talk is to be
given under the auspices of the Ameri

and It s not for raising money, nor will
tickets be sold for the event. It Is
purely an invitation uffalr. I feel that
It will be extremely interesting. Miss
