During the past five or six
months, while the coal situa
tion has been acute, when'
there were miners' strikes,
railroad strikes, embargoes,
freight congestion and gen
eral underproduction of coal,
we steadfastly continued our
policy of allowing the public
50 cents a ten reduction for
cash when we might easily
have sold every pound of
coal in our two yards at the
highest market price.
Mere profits did net blind
us or lead us te depart from
our fixed, fair-dealing policy
which saves our customers
thousands of dollars each
month.
We believe that the man
who buys coal for cash is en
titled te 50 cents a ten off
the price charged te credit
customers. We shall con
tinue te de business upon this
basis, allowing our charge
customers the same privilege
if they pay within 5 days.
