And Mrs. Jeseph I,udy has been
made chairman of this opera supper
If' that docs net saver of the ether
ulite. I ak you. Isn't It beautiful?
I bad heard rumors that there might
be a supper dance titer the opera, but
new It is net a rumor but a fact. Cards
have been sent out te that effect, and
won't It be gay,?
Of course, it makes opera an much of
a social event an a muilcnl one, hut
then it Is a combination of the' two
and It will certainly delight "every one
te be able te aup and dance In that
beautiful foyer after an evening of Ca
ruso. Penscllc, Mardencs and the rest
of the great singers. I can hardly
It for November 80 te come,-It all
Hounds se delightful te me. Yeu see,
there Is a caterer there and the tables
will be placed right In the foyer with
space In the center left for dancing.
There Is something se dignified and
benutlful In 'having n room With Just
the proper background right there en
the spot, as it were, te go te after hear
ing a magnificent opera. Ne having
te get into wrapn and ride te some ether
place, just a walk upstairs and there
you arc.
AND, speaking of music, don't for
get the orchestra concert this eve

Stetson Hospital's benefit. Yeu knew,
this will be the twelfth annual concert
and Estcllc Hughes, the coloratura so

will give the aria, from "the Pearl of
nrarll" and the "Care neme" from
IUgelcttc. There will be the overture
from the "telterslnrcr," a ballet
from "Samson and Delllab," and va
rious ether wonderful things. It's well
worth going te.
P ! WAS tee bad it rained for Rita
Hcckschcr's tea yesterday, but It did
net seem te put any damper en the
number of persons who went te the tea,
for there were great many. Mrs,
Learning has tee many friends and Rita
h tee popular for any one te have
thought of staying nt borne, even In such
bid weather.
The rooms were just a bower of flow
ers, and Rita looked charming in her
dainty frock of aatln and tulle.
THIS afternoon there will be two

Hollingawerth Slter, Mary's mother,
will give her tea at the Acorn Club
